24 HOUR READ-A-THON

IT'S ALMOST TIME for my very very VERY favorite bookish event of the year and that is the Dewey's 24 hour read-a-thon. This will be my third time participating in this read-a-thon and I'm super excited!

For those of you who do not know, it's an event that happens twice a year in April and October. This one is coming up on Saturday April 29th and it's exactly what it sounds like, it's a read-a-thon that takes place over a single day in which you try and read as much as possible. Everybody around the world starts and finishes at the same time, so you'll need to know what time the readathon starts for your specific time zone, for me being in Casablanca, Morocco I'm starting at 1 pm.

There are challenges, giveaways and so much more. Head over to 24hourreadathon.com for more info, then check out twitter and follow @readathon and #readathon for more updates.

So now on to the big question....... What's on my TBR pile? I've chosen a really diverse set of books. Of course I won't be reading for 24 hours straight. I need my beauty sleep, and there's no way I will be able to get through all these books but I like to have a pile to choose from.

1. Lean in by Sherly Sandberg ( Non-fiction)

2. The boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne (Historical fiction)

3. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie ( Mystery)

4. George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl. (Children's)

5. Orange Vol. 5 by Ichigo Takano ( Manga )

6. Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol ( Graphic novel)

7. The Princess saves herself in this one by Amanda Lovelace ( Poetry)

Just keep in mind that this is supposed to be fun so don’t compare yourself to others or feel like it’s a competition. Read at your own pace, enjoy yourself. If you end up reading for 15 minutes or stay up the whole 24 hours It really doesn’t matter how much you read, as long as you end up reading more than what you started with.

I will use this post for my updates and challenges throughout the readathon, so stay tuned!

This time, I’d like to focus more on my reading and spend less time on social media.

The challenge is to pick a book that you would give to a stranger :

I would 100 % give Harry potter!
